Hondata modifies standard OBD I Honda ECUs, adding features and expanding the capabilities of the ECU (to read boost for example). For best results naturally aspirated ECUs should be tuned to each individual engine setup and forced induction ECUs need to be tuned by an experienced tuner. If you have Stage 4 and the Pocket Programmer , you can tune stages 2 and 3 for others. When purchasing a Hondata unit, we offer a base program to get you started. From there we offer tuning services to help you get the most performance out of your Hondata unit based on individual applications. Dyno tuning is highly recommended. ECU modifications are available in stages:
Dyno sheet from a 1992 Honda Prelude H23 non-vetec with 550 cc injectors, custom turbo kit with front mount intercooler. Dynorun.001 was the starting pull. Dynorun.010 was at 7 psi boost. Dynorun.023 was at 10 psi boost. Stock fuel pressure and 93 Octane gasoline with no additives.
